God Speaks to Us Through His Word and Other Believers

I thank the Lord for Beth Moore!!!!  Her teachings are such a blessing to my life.  As I was doing my Bible study homework this morning God’s word came through Beth to me on two issues vital to this season of my life.  The first is a truth that I have been concerned about for some time, the direction of our nation, and the second concerns a promised truth for my business.

I have always believed that the United States was a nation blessed by God because it was founded upon His principles.  In my adult life I have seen this nation pull further and further out from under His blanket of protection by letting those principle slip away one by one.  In hope, I kept going back to the verse in 2 Chronicles 7:14 – If my people, who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (paraphrased).  I thought and prayed for God to redeem the people of America and help us get back on spiritual track.  I thought that America’s redemption lay in the hands of the unsaved changing their ways and seeking God.  As the years passed and it seemed as if our nation had turned it’s back on God I began to lose hope.  The only future I could see for American was ruins.  This morning it was if the Holy Spirit turned a lightbulb on in my head.  The verse in Chronicles is not speaking to the unsaved, it is speaking to “God’s People”.  Our Nation is not dependent on the unsaved to turn from their evil ways it is dependent on God’s people to humble ourselves and pray and seek His face and turn from our evil ways.  The fate of America is not in the hands of the unsaved it is in our hands.  It is time for us to fall flat on our spiritual faces in humility for our sins and walk away from the pride that WE are somehow better than those whom God has not reached yet.  It is time for US to pray for each other and for our nation!  It is time for US to seek His face!  It is time for US to turn from OUR wicked ways!  So that He will hear US from heaven, forgive OUR sin and heal our land!  Thank you Lord!!!!!!!

At one time I was concerned about my tendency to see how much of God’s Word spoke to my Arbonne business.  I wondered if I was lessening or bending the lessons that God was trying to teach me by applying them to my business also.  One day after I had struggled for several days with this concept I was watching a Beth Moore video and she said words that just shouted out to me…”That which is spiritual is also practical.”  She said that we should always be applying what we learn in God’s Word not just to our spiritual lives but also in our physical lives.  So with peace in my heart on this subject I will continue to share how I see God’s Word as it applies to my Arbonne business.

I continually struggle with the thought that my business is not progressing fast enough and that the fruit of my labor is not just falling off the trees at my feet.  His Word spoke hope and patience over my business today.  Galatians 6: 9 & 10 says “Let us not lose heart in doing good for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.  So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.”   These verses speak volumes to this time in my business.  I must keep my belief high (that God has me here for a very specific reason) until due time (God’s perfect time) and if I do not weary (quit my activity) I will reap the benefits of my labor.  Arbonne is less about self and more about serving  and helping others.  I must be vigilant to look for opportunities to help other people (my network) and others walking their Arbonne Journey.

So friends, let us fall on our knees, turn from our self-centered ways, seek God’s face, and ask for the salvation of our nation.  For those of you who are on your own Arbonne Journey keep the faith, continuing working, and seek out those people who you can help become  all that they can be.  God Bless You All!
